Lexa "Shorty" Ortiz is a Mexican businesswoman who grew up in Nayarit, Mexico. Lexa had a challenging childhood due to poverty, her parents passed away when she was only sixteen and her sister was twelve.

After few years found the opportunity to work on a Coca plantation controlled by the Los Zetas in Querétaro.

In her early twenties, Lexa used the knowledge she gained in Querétaro to involve herself in cocaine production, earning substantial money to support her sister and break free from poverty.
She also used legal businesses as a front to conceal her underground criminal activities.
However, Lexa's success in cocaine production in Mexico was short-lived due to increased attention from Mexican authorities, particularly the Policía Federal Ministeria, who sought her immediate arrest.
Despite attempting to bribe the authorities, Lexa acknowledged that not all law enforcement officers are corrupt and are dedicated to their duty and she found herself locked up for 5 years.
This realization prompted Lexa to leave her home country and start a new life in the United States of America.

Yet, there was a void within Lexa. As an ambitious businesswoman, she aspired to attain power and wealth, desiring everything the world had to offer.
Realizing this, she recognized the need for a significant amount of money. Consequently, Lexa made the decision to establish her own cocaine distribution network in Montgomery.
